He served as President Joe Biden’s Northwest Finance Director, managing a team that raised $45 million dollars, and currently works as Finance Director for Future Forward USA Action. He is also the Finance Director for U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell, Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, Marilyn Strickland and numerous other federal, state, and local elected officials.

Samantha (Sam) Peterson brings more than a decade of experience in digital fundraising, public affairs and online organizing to Blue Wave, where she serves as a Partner for all things digital. Prior to joining Blue Wave, Sam served as Vice President at a democratic digital firm where she raised millions of dollars and built some of the most competitive Senate, House and state-wide digital programs in the country.
Sam also spent several years working in organized labor communications with the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) and Service Employees International Union (SEIU). She is a proud Capitol Hill alumna and spent several years working for her home state Senator Dianne Feinstein (CA) in Washington, DC. She specializes in the design and execution of dynamic digital fundraising programs and has extensive experience in email marketing, online advertising, social media, mobile strategy, digital analytics and web design.

Jim joined Blue Wave's DC team as a compliance associate in November 2021 after moving to DC on New Year's Eve 2020. He was born and raised in President Eisenhower's hometown of Abilene, Kansas. In college he was a fellow for President Biden's campaign out of Iowa. After graduating with his business degree from Washburn University, Jim worked on Topeka Mayor Michelle De La Isla's congressional campaign in KS-02. In his free time he enjoys listening to audiobooks, binge watching Marvel movies, and working the occasional NFL game.

Haley joins Blue Wave from the White House where she most recently served as Senior Associate Director of Operations and Finance. Prior to working in the Biden-Harris Administration, she served on the 2020 Biden-Harris campaign and the Presidential Inaugural Committee as Southern California & Nevada Deputy Finance Director. Haley began her career in Los Angeles working in political consulting and donor advising for some of Southern California’s largest Democratic donors.
